Fergus Farrell in partnership with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and Spinal Injuries Ireland will be walking across the United States from Brooklyn, NY to Santa Monica, CA beginning on August 22, 2026 to raise awareness and critical funds for spinal cord injury resources and research. The expedition is expected to conclude approximately 75 days later.

Founded in 1994, Spinal Injuries Ireland (SII) is the only support and service agency in Ireland for people who have sustained a spinal cord injury. Spinal Injuries Ireland serves over 2,700 people living with a spinal cord injury and their 20,000 family members in Ireland. They provide resources and support the moment someone is admitted to hospital and continue to provide support for as long as an individual or family needs it. With practical help from their expert team, they focus on possibility, opportunity and hope, looking at what a person can do, not what they can’t.
The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by advancing innovative research and improving the quality of life for individuals and families impacted by paralysis. Upon conclusion of the fundraising campaign, the Reeve Foundation will receive a minimum of 10% of total funds raised with remaining funds to be granted to Spinal Injuries Ireland net of applicable fees and expenses.
